The Atlantic Hotel (South East Wales) With an unrivalled position on the seafront in Porthcawl, this hotel offers great views across the Bristol Channel, large well appointed rooms, as well as a good restaurant and bar. Ideally located for your golf break and well placed for some of the best links golf in the South Wales including Royal Porthcawl.

Royal Porthcawl (South East Wales Championship Links)
Wales finest championship links course. 15th in the Golf Digest Rankings. The status of the course is sustained by the many prestigious professional and amateur events held at the club over the years. Michael Williams of the Daily Telegraph summed it all up with; "Royal Porthcawl epitomises all that is best about the game, as it once was, even down to a creaking clubhouse that is as unchanging as the magnificent links and unrivalled hospitality."

|
Pyle & Kenfig Golf Club (South East Wales Links)
Established in 1922, P&K as it is known locally features two quite different nines, the front nine being more of a heath-land while the back nine snakes it’s way through the dunes. There are some spectacular links holes coupled with magnificent greens. As well as hosting the qualifying rounds for the British Amateur Championships 2002, the club played host to the British Girls Championships 2003, and hosted the Amateur Home International Matches in September 2006
|
|
Southerndown Golf Club (South East Wales Links)
Established in 1905 the course plays host each year to the prestigious amateur tournament the Duncan Putter. This classic links course provides a real golfing challenge, with narrow gorse and bracken lined fairways, and deep bunkers. There are many longer courses, but few with a finer set of par-threes. Equally memorable are the closing holes, usually played into the wind. The 18th in particular with its intimidating gorse and renowned split-level fairway will live long in the memory.

Dylan What a fantastic trip ! I am now sat back at my desk feeling totally pi**ed off because I want another day at Porthcawl. I would like to thank you very much for sorting our trip out, you made it very easy for me because all i had to do was hand the vouchers in. The hotel was great and the curry house round the corner couldnt have been better placed and the food was top quality ( we went there both nights ) St Pierre was good. we got wet a little bit on the back 9 but it could have been worse Southerndown was a cracker, very friendly the Pro was a good laugh and the course was excellant ( we got surrounded in sea mist in the morning but it cleared to leave a lovely day in the afternoon ) Royal Porthcawl was simply magnificent, the course the clubhouse the views, all unbeatable. You are a lucky man if you can go and play that cousre when you want ! what a gem. I have played some good courses over the years but that was the best links I have played and one of the best ever, for links golf I would think to beat that you would have to go and play an Open venue ! sorry we didnt meet up, i will have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone planning a trip down your way many thanks again Andy Marren
